I'm not sure which was first to give it away, the catalogs showing spring fashions or the fact that it was still light out as I drove into town to take my dogs to their weekly training class. There you have it, more hours of sunlight and a new array of pastel clothes to choose from, spring is on its way. But winter is far from over here in Vermont and I'm happy about that. The snowshoeing and skiing have been fabulous. I'll be sorry to see the season end, but it does mean great spring trips.
What are your plans to get moving this year? How about some kayaking or rafting? Maybe some walks in the woods? Don't be afraid to join us even if you're new to these activities. We make it fun and easy to learn!
Explorations in Travel heads to coastal Florida to swim with manatees. Spending time with these giant, gentle creatures is just remarkable. Read a story about an adventure similar to the one we have scheduled for December 2008.

Narrowboating In The U.K. has got to be one of the most unique ways to explore the countryside of England and Wales. We’ll have our own boat to drive and live aboard, stopping along the way for meals in local pubs and restaurants. There is a distinct culture on the canals and it’s fun to see the looks on the faces of the men who typically drive their own boats, when a group of ‘lady yanks’ waves in passing. It is possible to get off the boat and walk every day and we’ll also visit historic sites along the way. Check this trip out!

Be sure to check out our Canyons, Ruins & River adventure coming up in May 2008. This trip combines hiking to ancient ruins in the spectacular landscapes of Utah with a raft trip on the San Juan River. For me, a New Englander, traveling to the Southwest is like visiting another country the contrast is so vivid. I just love it!
